• En partidos que se recordarán por mucho tiempo por la aguerrida tarea que realizó el equipo peruano, PERÚ, obtuvo cuatro (4) puntos al igual que Paraguay, Brasil, Uruguay y Ecuador, en la fecha doble de las eliminatorias para la Copa Mundial Sudáfrica 2010.
